I think one or two mindfuck, oddball, doom-and-gloom DRUIDS are absolutely devastated by this result - judging by the fact that they've all gone quiet on here...

Very odd 'supporters'...

Still buzzing after that result this morning.

While it was a proper rear-guard action, we kept them at bay relatively comfortably. It wasn't like they spurned countless guilt-edged chances, they were a series of 1/2 chances at best.

It wasn't until about 5 mins to go that I thought we could actually hold out though.

Shit that felt good.

Well done Ron Antly, the most persistent NON-Hammer on here. At least Cromwell takes a break from time to time.

Looking forward to hearing from some fans that actually attended rather than the cunts discussing allardyce, mo Diame etc...

Forget the media ignoring the achievements and turn around the West Ham turnaround this season, some of our own fans are fucking moaning cunts.

I'm in hospital at the moment and had to pay nearly 20 quid to watch this on hospital telly! Imagine my frustration then, when half time happened to coincide with a visit to the 'testing lab' for more tests! I couldn't even answer the fone as my mates kept texting me with updstes! Everytime the fone went off I assumed the worst. As soon as I could I found out the score and sung bubbles all the way thru the hospital corridors on the way back to the ward! Not EVEN having to endure the physician's digit up my chutney locker in ghe early hours, dampened my enthusiasm! COYI!

I eventually caught up with the second half later. We were immense in the second half- in fact I thought that even then we had the better chances! 27 shots on target Rantly?? Last time I looked we scored at least one more than them!

Re: Man City v West Ham - Official Match Thread 1-2 FT
Perhaps you're right. Perhaps "limiting" the opposition to 27 attempts on goal, as opposed to making them do a bit more defending themselves is the way to go.

I stand corrected.

Now, if you'll excuse, a brick wall awaits for me to bang my head against. I anticipate greater satisfaction to ensue than experienced here.

You're not going to lure me in but as a final comment will re-state that to keep meaningful possession would have required committing more people forward and risk getting caught on the break ourselves.

They have exceptional players. I doubt anyone doesn't understand that better possession would be great as an ideal but in the circumstances of the match the tactics were spot on as the result and the records will show.

There is always room for improvement and that can be for another day. Seems a shame that you are not able to celebrate the moment and bask a little in the sunshine.

Please stop messing around with my username, Tex.

It's really hurting my feelings.
